Apololi Kori restaurant no longer exists

After seven amazing years, I am grateful for the time spent running and cooking for this small restaurant.

I created it in 2017 from scratch, putting in a lot of energy and personal effort, despite facing challenging financial conditions in Greece. Over these seven years, I had the pleasure of meeting old and new friends, sharing nights filled with conversations, thoughts, wines, music and recipes.

Unfortunately, restaurant no longer exist, but "Apololi Kori" will continue with new projects related cooking

and Mediteranean cusine. I am thankful for the expressions of love and appreciation, as well as the friendships that were formed during this time. Throughout the years, you all have regarded "Apololi Kori" as one of the most beloved places in Nisyros, and your encouraging reviews have given me the courage to continue on the path I chose from the beginning.

"Apololi Kori" was a "handmade" restaurant, a pioneer in Nisyros for its focus on healthy Mediterranean and Greek cuisine, fine Greek products, a small menu with different main courses daily and unique principles on food and tourism, all presented in a special and distinctive aesthetic and atmosphere that paid attention to every small detail.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen and very toxic circumstances, we were not able to bid farewell in the manner that I had hoped for and that would have been appropriate. Regrettably, the restaurant no longer exists, except in an abused form. I understand that many friends are shocked and deeply disappointed to lose their favourite place. I appreciate your support, solidarity, and responsible attitude. I trust that the chaos will cease as all pending issues will be addressed through legal procedures.

 

Each of us has their own path and history, which does not change overnight.
Our daily choices shape the societies we inhabit.

Although "Apololi Kori" is no longer at its original location, we will meet again, perhaps around a large table or at a joyful gathering. In the meantime, "Loles Kores" store remains open, where we can continue to meet while new projects are "cooking". Stay tuned!
